Hi, it’s Lynetta :)

I grew in multiple places, incl. China, US, Ireland, and I’m moving to London for college. Across all those places, one question has quietly shaped everything I do: how do tiny things - proteins, genes, molecules - shape something as big and messy as human life? That curiosity led me from wondering why a protein like p53 gets the lofty title “Guardian of the Genome,” to conducting cancer research in labs at Trinity and UCD. Lately, I’ve been venturing into the world of longevity science, also understanding it through a philosophical perspective.

I’m particularly obsessed with the idea of “self-aware” therapies — molecules, gene circuits, and biological systems that can sense, decide, and respond dynamically inside the body. Think: programmable treatments for cancer, inflammation, aging. Biology that behaves more like software. If you're building, researching, investing, or just asking smart, weird questions, I’d love to chat :D

Some fun things about myself because why not:

  1. Is weirdly knowledgeable about Corvus and cheires siderai (don’t know what those are? I can’t guarantee you’d know even after googling)

  2. Grew up watching Mary' Beard’s documentaries on Ancient Rome - I’m big on Classics :)

  3. Riflery is the only sport I’m kinda good at - Shot a bullet through the centre of a Quarter dollar coin and made it into a necklace (I lost it unfortunately)

  4. Side quest is to make have my own jewellery brand someday
